are there any sheets out there of ted's arrangements/lessons regarding walking bass lines? one of the things I love about his CD is the way he plays the walking bass, harmony and melody together. I've searched the site using 'bass lines' as keyword, and have all 4 books. I've seen the section in MCP of SWR and SWB movement, but nothing so far that really addresses walking lines within a tune. I know its out there, it just escapes me so far...any ideas?
thanks

Have you looked at the "Walking Chord Blues" in the Lessons section? I know Ted wrote out a million of these things...

Hi Michael,
Here are some of Ted's pages that I have on walking bass.  Don't know if this is what you're looking for, but it's something.
Also, please check out Mark Levy's recordings of lessons with Ted - specifically 1992, March 30 and 1992, May 18.  Mark wrote a short index of all his recordings, and walking bass is listed in both of these. (Go to: Forums/General Topics/Converting Lesson Tapes to Digital)
Also, not Ted, but very good for walking bass with chords and melody is the instructional video "Fingerstyle Mastery" by Tuck Andress, a HotLicks production.  I think it recently came out on DVD.

Good luck!
--Paul

Here's my contribution on the subject of walking bass lines.  I received this, a custom lesson page of Ted's on walking bass lines using the tune "Killer Joe", donated by my friend Cesar.  I haven't tried it yet myself, so I hope it makes sense.  Play at your own risk!
