Hello my new friends.  I’ve recently “discovered” Ted Greene and I’m looking to learn more about chord-melody jazz.

I have been playing guitar for 40 years, cycling through many styles.  Today i am primarily a classical guitarist with flamenco tendencies.  I play nylon string at a “competent amateur“ level.

Although I played a lot of jazz several decades ago, it was primarily single line and rhythm.  Chord-melody jazz has recently grabbed my attention and Ted G seems to be in a league of his own.  But I’m sure there are other musicians that to whom I should listen.

Can anyone recommend some other chord-melody albums / artists?

I have TG’s Solo Guitar album.  Are there any other TG recordings?

Joe Pass, George Van Eps, Lenny Breau...

Ted only made one album but there are many video and audio recordings of lessons, workshops, and other performances available here (http://www.tedgreene.com/video/tedgreene_videos.asp, http://www.tedgreene.com/audio/audio.asp) and elsewhere on the internet.

Thank you.  Any specific albums that you'd recommend from the guys?
