Hi everyone,

[note: the problem I posted here is in fact not a problem. See Tim's (TLerch) reply. Thx Tim! That being said, anyone who wants pdfs can e-mail me for them.]

Are you computer savvy? If there is anyone who can help me convert my pdfs of Ted's material into a more readable graphics format (that the website supports, like jpeg) than the files I had posted yesterday (approach chord blues) in .png, it would be greatly appreciated. Seems the resolution is low and opening the thumbnail and printing does not work properly (sized wrong). I have some other files besides the approach chord sheets that I'd like to share.

Thanks for any assistance! You can e-mail me (rogertaylor6@gmail.com) or call me at (571) 232-7000.

Roger

Roger,

You  should be able to use "Save As" from Acrobat "File" (a pull down menu at the far upper left of your screen), then select "Save As File Type" menu (under "File Name" box) and select JPEG.  This will convert your PDF into a JPG for posting.

Nick

Nick, I only have Adobe Reader, which does not have the "save as" option except to save as text which doesn't work since these are scans. (I have a scanner here at home but not sure how to use it - it's hooked up to another computer. I originally scanned the sheets at my old job which I recently left to teach Suzuki guitar full time!)

Roger ,
i downloaded the pages you posted and they were fine. Rather good actually. Clicking on the thumbs (of most formats) and trying to print will usually result in a too large image. But downloading and saving in a folder and then printing works just fine.
thanks for your efforts
Tim

Hi Roger,
One way that works for me is to use the select /copy to clipboard function in Adobe Reader and then paste it into another .jpg document.  You'll then need to "save-as" that document and rename it. This will do a good job of converting it.  You can then re-size using whatever photo editing software you have. See if this can work for you.
There are some exceptions if the person who made the original .pdf puts a copy protection on it, but I've found this to be pretty rare.
Good luck!
