Please be kind guys, just dropped Ted's version into Sibelius as posted by Barbara a couple of days ago. I've added the odd change fingering and added a turnaround or two, this was mainly done for my benefit to print off for the folder but if any of you get a use out of it then great.

Cheers

Dan

Hi Dan

Thanks for the music.  Makes it a bit easier for some of us not used to Ted's system.

What would be REALLY great is to have a midi file of this.  If you are willing you could maybe export it and post the midi file here.  I don't think that this site allows midi files to be posted but you could change the file extension to say .gif and we change it to .mid after downloading it.

I have some midis from the old site that I could probably post as well if people are interested

Regards

Michael

Thanks for this Dan.

I just recently discovered Ted Greene and stumbled into this forum from the Ted Greene site which I discovered from another forum.

I'm a newbie in fingerstyle jazz and will try to play it the best I can. The beauty of this song is, there's always next Christmas if I don't get it right this year.

From your username, it sounds like you've got a 52 Tele. Am I right? A real 52 or reissue? You'd be my new hero if that's an original 52.

Hi telejazzer,

Unfortunately i only have a fender '51 nocaster custom shop reissue, like yourself i adore the original '52. Thanks for your kind words and i take pleasure in the fact you liked what i did.

Many Thanks and keep the solid body jazz vibe goin'!

I'd like to add my pages of Ted's "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" to this thread....Ted's grid boxes and music notation.
For those Ted died-in-the-wool students who like his grid boxes, you'll enjoy reading these "compilation" pages.
Special thanks to Dan52Tele for his TAB of this arrangement.

Happy Holidays!

Hi, would it be possible to get a pdf of this? .gif is a little clumsy. Thank you so much for the transcription, this is my first 15 minutes on this site, and i know NOTHING about ted's notation system.

Thanks to Dan for transcribing this!
I found some errors in the pdf such as in bar five, bar 13, and 29 - 2nd beat should have an E (9th fret 3rd string) so 2 notes played together (Ted shows X off the grid), bar 12 the F# should be E on the B string (from 7th to 5th fret), bar 14 last note should be G# (not A), and some other bars are totally different from the original chart eg. bar 15/16, 2nd half of bar 20 (before D#7#9), bar 24 (ted shows 2nd fret A string vs 7th fret E string), bar 24 ted shows open A string vs 5th fret E string, etc

I'd love to discuss this more and help out if possible.
