I pulled out the beast "the Thesaurus of Scales and Melodic Patterns" recently to try and work on seeing intervals and interval relationships better on the guitar neck (and to torture myself).  I dabbled with the book in college, mostly on its reputation and with little benefit, but a decade on I see a legit use for it for where I am in my musical development.

Looking at the book post-Ted, I am curious whether he involved himself with it.  Being a math and music guy, I could see where he might enjoy it. Anyone ever talk w/ Ted about it?  Do assignments out of it?   Just curious.

Peace.

He and I spoke about it in general terms - its usefulness etc. so I would say he knew about it and had read it.  I never used it formally with him, tho I used it myself for reference.
