We really need to decide on a date for the picnic!!!
I am going to suggest Sunday Sept. 21st?

I will be writing the Sept. newsletter this week and would like to have a definite date for said picnic. Without a definite date, it can not go in the newsletter, therefore no one will know that there is a picnic unless they read this ridiculous post. (if there is in fact a picnic)
Last month we really did end up confusing some people. Who us?

But, once it is in the newsletter, we need to commit to that date and if no one comes, or just a a few people, well..... there are always ducks to feed.

Barb,

I'll cast my vote for the 21st!  By then the ducks (and possibly the weather) will have cooled off.

Suffering succotash!

I just found out Omobob can't make it!  What about Mr. Brodie?  Does the new date work for you, Steve?

I just finished scanning, burning to CD and labeling Barney Kessel's "The Guitar" book that Ted so graciously let me take home and copy early on.  It has been a long time out-of-print.  It is cool to read Barney's 'take' on everything from what to look for in a potential teacher to playing professionally. Ted's dialogue with Barney in the margins is a hoot!  I made ten copies to hand out at the picnic.  Did I make too many?

Yes, I can make it,  Especially for my copy of the Barney book...  What time should I be there??  I prob live the closest to the park(maybe), so, I can be deligated the duty of trying to hold a spot there.  However, that position might be subject to a vote.

What time?  Our last picnic was around 11 am, right?  Food preferences?

I am casting my vote for Steve to hold our usual shaded spot noon-ish!  Steve is best equipped at taming those savage duck-like beasts (see pic above) with his music until reinforcements arrive.  Don't worry Barb, I'll save you an egg roll or two.  Come when you are ready!

Well hello Mr. Sawyer!
If 11:00 is a suitable time for everyone? I suppose most can make it by 11 with no problem.
If by some miracle I fall asleep before 4 a.m. Sat. night (Sun. morn), I just might get there along with everyone else.
It is very disconcerting being out of sync with the rest of the world. Verily.
