Hi to all members!!

I'm new on the forum and just hallucinating!! It's incredible!!

I have a question: does anybody know what's the title of the tune Ted´s is playing on the tune that sounds on his memorial's page?

http://tedgreene.com/memorybook/memorybook.htm

Where I could find the arrangement?

Thanks to everybody.

Hi José
Welcome to the website!
If you listen to the very beginning of the clip Ted says, "We'll try this, ah, 'Tea for Two' for Barb."
Then he says, "I'm taping this to see if it's any good.  If it isn't I'll just erase it."
And, "How come you used diminished, man?" (talking to himself)

This comes from an informal recording Ted made at home for Barbara Franklin, who was present at the time. Yes, it is a very nice piece!
I looked in our Ted archived files and don't see that he ever wrote anything up for "Tea for Two," so somebody will have to transcribe it if you want the arrangement.

Thank you so much for the helping hand! I didn't understand those part of the recording so, now at least I know something more about the tune.
Hope that someone could help me with the transcription.

Hi, and welcome!

I transcribed the 1st chorus for you. I hope that you can read what I´ve written. It's a bit simplified because of the free form style, so you have to add some rhythm and right-hand rolls to some of the chord.

The original key is Ab major. Ted starts this in C and modulate down a major 3rd after the first chorus. The last chord (of this page) could be a Ab7(#9) going to Bbm7..or? Someone else might help out how to look at this.

Have fun, and ask if needed.

Anders

Hi,
I will (eventually) transcribe the whole piece, with notation and all, and post it on the website.
I did first and second chorus yesterday, but ran out on paper to write on. Just wait a day or two, and I´ll post the 2nd chorus.

Thanks!

Anders,
I was kidding. Thank you so much for this work.

And if you have time can you transcribe the rest of Ted's Audio performances?
