Ted had one of his Teles (Lucky?) set up with a "middle position" humbucker because a middle pickup reproduced chimes better than the neck pickup. Did anyone ever get into an indepth conversation with Ted about this?  Is there more to the placement than just having it between the neck and bridge pickup? I'm about to take my favorite tele down to my friendly neighborhood luthiery and have a middle pickup added. I'd really like to get it right the first time. Thank you for your help!
