oooooo Ducks? That sounds nice. is there parking & restrooms at that park?
as I recall it is a small area with some historical significance. Either park is ok.
also - I have "Banana" the '51 Tele w/4 pick ups - is it safe to bring her? B.

I'm sure both of these parks have restrooms.

We need at least 10 people by Tuesday May 22, or the picnic will have to be postponed.

The deadline is approaching! Please post a reply here if you plan on attending.

Looks like we have 7 confirmed peopleā€¦ and still need 3 more. So far i count:

Dan Sawyer
Barbie
Steve Brodie
Leon White
Bob Risman
Bob Holt
Nick Stasinos

Either park is okay by me. I would prefer a place with shade, either tables in the shade or where we can put some blankets down in the shade. I'll bring a battery powered amp to share and if someone else could bring one too, that would be great. You might want to check on that "duck" park. We went there once a few years ago and it was closed on certain days.

*the details once again:

Ted Greene Alumni & Friends picnic, 11 am - 2 pm on May 27

(we need at least 10 people by Tuesday May 22, or the picnic will have to be postponed.) Everybody brings a dish of food to share and beverages for themselves. Bring acoustic/electric guitars, (battery powered amps?), blankets & folding chairs. All family and friends are welcome, whether they play music or not.

The Duck park is reopened, over a year, since construction.  There are trees, and tables, I think.  And ducks, unless they migrate this time of year.  There is shade.  Maybe Ill bring a battery and a small amp..

So, is it decided, the duck park?  I'll check there tomoorow, and get their hours.

I was just at the park.  The hours are from 10am to 5.  The ducks and geese were there, and something that looked like a turkey.  There are trees, tables, and they sell duck food for 25c.  If I can figure out how, I'll post one of the pictures I took....

This is two diff views of "Duck" park..

For those of you who don't know where it is..

Less than 1/2 block east of Balboa, on the North side of Ventura Blvd.  Right next to Smart and Final.  The only entrance I know of is through the gate on the Ventura Blvd side..

The few times i have been at that park, it's never been crowded (and I was there on the weekend). Also, since we are starting at 11, we'll beat the crowds anyway. I volunteer to get there early and secure a table or two.

By the way, Memorial Day itself is on Monday, not Sunday,
