This is my interpretation of the arrangement transcribed beautifully by Paul V. which is posted in the 'From Students' section of the Ted Greene website. This version is simplified further so that I can get through it, but I hope I have been able to capture the melody without losing too much of the harmonic beauty in Ted's version. This is an essentially Irish traditional song, at least the melody is, and living in Ireland I feel that perhaps it is trotted out more often than it should be at least over here. I hope this performance does not fall into that category. Ted's version on his Solo Guitar album is astonishing. If you like that version and the song you might also want to check out George Benson's jaw dropping version which he played at a concert in Belfast several years back.
