I screwed it up a bunch, but it is what it is.

I've attached the music if anyone wants it, sorry if the accidentals are (still) wrong; Guitar Pro is very annoying about that. I am open to suggestions for improvements (especially on the parts Ted didn't do)

Wow.
There are a number of spots where you sound like Ted exactly in touch and right hand.
And that guitar sounds REALLY in tune - which is a requirement (IMHO) to make those octave intervals work.
This is just outstanding.  I can't thank you enough.

Haha Nice! I've been watching the old Alfred Hitchcock tv shows lately too, good timing. [wink]

Hi arsenalca,
This sounds great!  Is the notation you created a partial transcription of Ted's performance on the "An Afternoon with Ted" recording?
If so, perhaps we ought to include this in our Transcriptions section.

Yeah I transcribed the part Ted did and kept that separately. I've attached it here. I will also just mention that I'm not entirely confident about bars 18-21 or so.

Hey thanks very much for this I'll try and play it myself this week! you're playing is deadly! I would like to ask, how did you get that phat tone from the drop D?

Well the whole guitar is down a whole step in addition to the drop D, and the amp (Princeton Reverb) likes bass notes, and so does the mic. The guitar isn't really set up for this tuning, to be honest. I don't think that bottom string would go any lower without sounding like a sloppy out of tune mess (it's only a 56), and there's a fair bit of fret/finger buzz on the rest of them, though I think the strings themselves are fine.

well done!.....your to critical...your playing was excellent.....not necessary to hit every ted note.....he most likely would expect you to voice it the way you hear it.....
