8 years ago when I received a call from Barb (I live in Atlanta). I post this because I suspect I am one of thousands of good souls he touched. Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for Ted. Like so many, I am picking up a tele daily, and starting to practice, and for one more day realizing how his mentoring made me love him and love this instrument more.
When I first heard Ted, in person, lesson 1 ca 1982, like so many, I didn't know a guitar could sound that lovely. That was before I even knew the extent of Ted's genius and gentleness, though I know he'd have much preferred the latter description to the former. I'm going home from work in a bit and grabbing the tele he sold/gave me, 'for a song' would be an appropriate way to put it, and 'say a little prayer' with my soul to this wonderful wonderful person. Thank you Ted. Play in Peace. Jerry
